How to get ready for the future of work

Andrzej Swędrzyński

Work is becoming more and more complex with every passing day. Multiple and often conflicting goals and constraints plague almost every project and all of them are backed by good reasons. In order to catch up with the demanding reality, organizations chase the newest management fads which promise a bright future after implementing simple solutions. In practice, they leave employees burnt out, disengaged and their talents and passion wasted.

Yet, there are teams which deliver great outcomes, whose members learn and develop themselves and become leaders. We can all learn from them and apply those skills to improve the reality for ourselves and our co-workers right now and in the future to come, no matter what our position in an organization is and how it is structured.

Based on my 20 years of experience in software industry I will show examples of both worthless and worthwhile approaches to building a modern organization and how to recognize the difference between the two.
